TaylorMade did a great job for me

Lol, meanwhile one of my pals broke his Qi10 (back of the face) and is waiting for TaylorMade to replace it with a new Qi35.

I won’t spend money on anything by them that doesn’t have a titanium face.

I’m happy for you. They gave me a Stealth 2 for my Sim 2 Max. Was hoping for the Qi10, but oh well.

Should have asked for the Sim 2 Max back.

TM is going to get flooded with people sending them cracked drivers with posts from the forum for proof lol.

TM has a very customer-friendly warranty. It’s a 2-year warranty after purchase and most of the time if the club breaks, they replace it with the latest model.

Source: I work in golf sales and contact TM regularly. (Not more than I contact other companies) just putting that out there for the haters.

Do the replacement clubs also have a 2-year warranty? Would they replace a replacement club?

That’s where it gets tricky. The warranty on the replacement has changed often. I haven’t seen one come in for a while, so honestly, I’m not sure now.

@Windsor
Have you noticed more problems with the carbon fiber drivers and higher swing speeds with casual players leading to this?

In my experience, the only carbon fiber issues I see regularly are from the carbon faces caving in. This mostly happens with high swing speed players practicing in colder weather. I swing semi hard and use a Stealth 2 without issues. Carbon fiber weakens with age and stress; it’s common for soles and crowns to break/crack.

@Windsor
I bought a used (basically new) 2017 M1 hybrid in 2020, and the crown blew off last season. I asked about repair or warranty and they said no, but if I had bought it in 2022, they would’ve honored it, which seems fair to me since they would honor a warranty for a 5-year-old driver as long as it was purchased within the last 2 years.

They also gave me advice on fixing it myself.

@Jordan
Exactly, they are a great company in that regard. They have an excellent policy for brand loyalty. Other brands know that the actual differences between clubs are minimal. The main reason to buy from TM, Callaway, Ping, Cobra, Titleist, etc., is brand and customer service.

Did the first shot slice 60 yards right like mine?

You will likely send that one back for a cracked face :joy:

I think they fixed the face issues with the Qi10.
But it’s the only club I’ve seen where improved durability was in the official press release.

That would be true for a Stealth. So far, I haven’t heard of any problems with the Qi10. Seems like they addressed the usual TM driver issues with the Qi10 series.

How did you like the Sim2?

That driver was awesome before it cracked. It was the best one I ever had.

Just once, I’d like to see a swing video from someone who posts about a cracked driver.

Do you need to buy the club directly through TM for a replacement? Or will they replace a club bought new or used from a golf store?

This was purchased through Amazon.

I’d want to request a max since you had a max, but all good.
