If you have a swing that suits the Qi10 LS & not the Max, get ur ass on tour, lmao! Congratulations on your new toys!!!
My guess is he is either hitting down or across the ball with the driver. As someone who has battled a dice for a long time with a high 90s swing speed, lower spinning driver heads can help a lot as you work to get more even as far as attack angle and swinging more down the line go.
@Hadi
To be fair, a lot of fitting places would potentially take it back/replace it if it’s clearly a bad fit for you. No guarantees, but no reputable place would want someone out there telling everyone they were badly fit.
Relax, and try to enjoy it for a little while. If you get the stats, you could take a look and see if you can see anything obvious (or post them in a thread, and we can discuss!) but ultimately, if you hit it well, it’s not a problem.
@Shawn
I’m also a believer post fitting and have had guys tell me it’s a waste of money, etc.
As they buy and sell numerous sets cause the feel is off.
Is there any chance to get fitted but walk away with a used set? I know it’ll be mostly newer models tried and the whole point is for them to make commission off the sale, but figured it’s worth asking.
@Jesse
Yeah, of course. A lot of places do free fittings if you buy from them (and they’ll fit you into used clubs), but you can always pay for one and get your recommendations and then go buy those used.
Fun fact, I bought a Foresight GC2 from Golfsmith when they went out of business, and when I was setting up my sim, I had to change some kind of boost value from 5 (percent) to zero when I set it up. Not saying that is why you hit your 7 iron 30 yards further, lots of jacked loft and other things at play, but it confirmed to me that this is a thing.
I kinda chuckled wondering how many people bought clubs after testing them on my LM (technically the computer with software) and were like, “damn, I only hit mine 200; I am 210 all day with this new tech, I gotta get one!”
5% seemed like the right amount to juice under the radar and gets less noticeable with clubs people are more likely to be locked into (wedges) and more sales closing strength at the driver end of the bag.
@Joss
I absolutely can’t deny that could be the case. But actually hitting out onto the range gave me confidence it is going at least somewhat further than my current clubs, and more importantly, it’s way more consistent and has better dispersion. The Strata clubs kinda suck, haha.
@Hadi
Oh no dude, I’m sure it was legit. I didn’t mean to imply that, only that reading your post reminded me of that and I chuckled thinking back on that…
I just got the Mizuno JPX925 irons too. I think a lot of people sleep on Mizuno. Very happy with the purchase so far. Funny you mention the 7 iron. Like you, when I was at the store, I also hit it 170. When I went to the range, I was back to hitting it 150.
@Kai
Lots of people in here saying they juice the monitors, haha, which honestly is probably true. In any case, hitting out onto the driving range, it was better than my current iron, with no question. Even if it doesn’t go 170, I’ll take 150 with much better consistency and dispersion any day.

They juice the lofts; if you have a beginner set or an old set, the club lofts are like 1.5-2 clubs stronger than what you’re used to.
Sorry - to clarify - are you saying that club makers juice the lofts on ‘game improvement’ clubs?
