Why was this at Marshall's clearance and why was it originally $40

Nah, you’re right. 2008 was indeed six years ago. It’s hard to convince my mind otherwise.

16…

@Cary
I’ve got Ping Karsten II irons from the late 70s. Still feel good :smiley:.

@Cary
I’m playing with clubs from 1989…

You’re acting like the mid-90s was ages ago… it’s not that long ago.

Yeah, you’re right. The mid-90s was only … … oh wow.

DON’T DO THE MATH.

The 90s are heading towards a quarter of a century ago, buddy.

Shhh…

These stores are wild. Half the stuff has that ‘fell off a truck’ vibe.

Fell off a truck 30 years ago and just recently found.

I love Marshall’s, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, Home Sense, Sierra.

Old enough that they’ll all hit like a Top Flight.

I remember that packaging from the 80s—unfortunately.

At least you’re still a golfer.

Someone must have returned these back to Costco.

Antiques, but not bad balls at all. I used to use those.

And why do I want them?

This brings back memories of high school golf. When the Wilson Ultra’s came out, they were hot for a bit.

Titleist wound Tour Balata 100’s were what the cool kids played. I remember seeing drives arc upwards and thinking that looked amazing.

*Might have been an optical illusion, but those things sure ballooned.

@Ren
I played Tour Balata, but my favorites in high school were the ‘professionals.’ I could get those things to backspin like doing yo-yo tricks.

I used those DDHs in the early 90s. They were about 110 compression. Really long distance.

Why was it originally $40?

This isn’t just your average box of one dozen golf balls, it’s actually a 15-ball BONUS PACK.

These are collector’s items by now. You might want to get them graded.

I used to love the DT rolls.
