Great exchange between Tiger and John Daly

It’s kinda sad; if Daly worked half as hard as Tiger instead of drinking, who knows what his career might have looked like.

It could be terrible. Some play best when they don’t try.

@Vale
About 20 years ago, a guy played 4-5 times a year and never practiced. He shot under par more often than over 75. We encouraged him to play more and practice, and he never shot below 75 that year.

@Zane
Hi, it’s me! I usually play 3-4 times a year now and break 80 nearly every time. In high school/college, I practiced often and barely broke 90. It’s mostly mental now.

Well, Jared. Glad to see you recovered from that case of death you picked up.

@Vale
I’m a high handicapper, consistently shooting 95-105. My best game was with my dad, who’s in a wheelchair. My goal was to savor being with him and I shot my best of 87.

Last time I played with my dad, I shot an 88 with 3 chip-ins. Rarely break 100. Great memory.

He didn’t have to, and seems to have had a fantastic career and life.

@Orin
Tiger practiced a lot and had his own ups and downs. Life is inescapable.

@Orin
True, he gives off that ‘I don’t care’ vibe, and wives usually don’t appreciate that, but they likely enjoy his wealth.

@Orin
One ex-wife stabbed him while he slept—that doesn’t happen to good people.

@Blaise
Fantastic life? As an alcoholic drug addict cheater? Yeah, that’s what all golfers should aspire to.

Are you referencing Tiger or John? Source

@Wade
The most egregious.

I’m not being obtuse; what has John done that’s racist? I found that he supports Trump.

I respect the level of hate though.

John once said on Howard Stern that the harder he worked, the worse he played. “I figured out that practicing causes imperfection. I suck when I practice. I don’t know why,”

I wonder how true this is, or if it’s easier for him to believe.

It’s sad that every video of John revolves around drinking or smoking. The joke got old quick, and I wonder how else he finds happiness.

By traveling to the most beautiful places to play golf? These clips aren’t of him in a dirty basement; they’re always luxurious venues.

I like JD, but he seems to have deep sadness behind those glistening eyes. He plays because he has to. He said that he gambled away more than he won. He sleeps in his RV for peace. Beautiful places don’t mean he finds joy; he plays for endorsements while he can.
