In northern Utah, the golf season usually ends by mid-November, but I got to play yesterday on the winter solstice, and it was amazing! I even played better than usual. I had two rough holes—a triple bogey and a double bogey—but still managed to shoot a 43, which is on the lower end for me. I’ll take it…
I knew I should’ve played sleepy today!
Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality.
I was out yesterday playing Bonneville here in Salt Lake. Would’ve been out today but had plans with the family. Rare to have 50 degree weather in December.

Sleepy Ridge.
Just global warming. Nothing to look at…

Give yourself a pat for claiming the dumbest comment on the sub for a while.
@Dex
I changed my mind, your comment might be worse.
Climate change is not looking at one day and evaluating if you can golf or not compared to the same day 100 years ago lmfao.
And talking about 5 degrees as a minor change in the context of average global temps.
That was pure post-birdie fuck up PBFU.
It’s wild. When I see this score, I’m like, ‘that’s respectable’, but when I shoot 7 over I’m like, ‘that’s trash’.
Enjoy the winter round, pal. We hit about 32 today and I saw some folks on the local course. Crazies, I tell ya.
Alaska punching the air right now.
Can confirm following a bird with a double is real life.
@Florence
Shhhh don’t tell anyone.
Don’t worry, Utah golf is already screwed. Can’t get tee times anywhere unless it’s a week out.
@Florence
That approach to the clubhouse on 18 is so scenic. Great picture! This course is slowly becoming more popular and raising their prices to match all of the others in the area
Played yesterday as well in Utah at Riverbend. Feels very weird to be playing so close to Christmas.

I learned a few years ago that Riverbend will send you out any day, as long as it’s dry. I’ve been golfing ‘year round’ ever since!
