Yes, we have a lot of them at my home course. Not great when dealing with a hook

Elevated first tee shots should be reachable par 5s or simple par 4s
Pretty common in my area of Scotland. My favorite is this one:

For golf, not really. I lose all control. For views though, yeah, it looks really cool
I drove a 290 yard par 3 from an elevated tee box. It was one of the best moments of my life. It’s all downhill from there
Elevated tee boxes are my favorite for sure. I always feel like hitting two, even when the first is safe in the fairway

We’ve got a course with a par 3 where you tee off from a dike. You can tee off with a 7 or even 8 iron and still overshoot the green
