Which are the best womens petite golf clubs?

I started playing golf about two years ago, but due to weather constraints, I’ve only been able to hit the course for around 9-10 months. Despite that, I’ve managed to squeeze in a few golf lessons. Recently, I relocated to an area where I can play golf for a longer duration throughout the year, unlike my previous location with harsh winters and wet springs. The golf set I currently use was a hand-me-down from my parent’s neighbor. It appears well-worn, and I’ve had trouble finding the same set online, except for some individual clubs being sold on eBay.

Anyway, I’d still label myself as a seasoned beginner and I’m keen on upgrading to a decent set. Standing at 5’0", I reckon petite clubs might be a better fit for me since the set I have now consists of standard-length clubs. While I manage fairly well with my current clubs in terms of consistency in flight path and distance, I’ve noticed that my driver performs similarly to my 7 iron, indicating the need for new clubs. I’m aware that Top Flite is popular among beginners but somewhat average in quality. I’m not looking to break the bank on clubs but rather invest in a new set, perhaps adding individual clubs as I progress.

I’m torn between some petite Top Flite sets, the Wilson SGI complete women’s set (petite), or the Callaway Strata 10-piece set (blue, standard). Any advice, club recommendations, and guidance on length (petite or standard) would be immensely helpful! (Apologies for the lengthy post).

@cherry You’re very good-looking, I’m not attractive. :crazy_face:

I would take your current clubs and just schedule a swing analysis with a local golf club fitting shop. I would wager a guess that you’ll be fine with standard women’s clubs which are often 1" shorter than men’s but always good to get a professional opinion.

I think you should get fitted for your clubs.

Keep playing with what you have, and based on the information from your fitting, add clubs as you’re ready and can afford them. If you plan to add clubs over time, this is the best approach.

A fitter will also help you determine the correct club length. There’s a significant difference between standard length men’s and senior’s clubs and standard length ladies’ clubs. Petite ladies’ clubs are even shorter.

Typically, standard length ladies’ clubs fit people around 5’2" to 5’6", so the standard length might not be the best for you.
