@Clancy
When I was young, I used to swap the iron covers on my dad’s set (he stopped using covers about 15 years ago). I’d switch the 5-iron with the 9-iron, but my dad caught on quickly. So, I started swapping the covers on irons with more similar lofts, like 4 and 6. This caused a lot of trust issues in our group, haha
@Clancy
I accidentally hit my 6-iron instead of my 9-iron and overshot the green by 40 yards
@Clancy
I’ve been playing for a couple of years, and I still mix them up all the time. I usually don’t realize until I’m setting up to swing and see the loft, haha

Honestly, how did I not take a moment and think to myself ‘this looks way off’
@Clancy
I often confuse my 9-iron and pitching wedge

But seriously, why do you have two 4-iron clubs then?
The odd one has a 19-degree loft. My M4 4-iron has 21.5 degrees, so it plays more like a driving iron

That makes sense. I have: 4i - 210y; 3h - 220y; 4h - 235y. Sometimes bag setups are a bit hodgepodge. If it works, it’s not stupid

Curious why your M4 iron has 21.5 loft when the usual loft is 19 on an M4 4-iron

That’s the smartest response here
That’s what they call the jigger. It keeps it low in the wind
From now on, it’s a J Wedge.
Pete: What are you hitting?
Paul: I call upon the J wedge.
Pete: It’s 195
Paul: It must be J
Incredible
If you have to ask what a J wedge is, you probably can’t afford it

Holy smokes! Once you see the ‘J’, it’s hard to unsee it. Even reading the comments I thought it was a stylized ‘1’, not a 4
Had someone super new to golf look at my P790 4-iron upside down and ask what my ‘h’ iron was

That was totally me
Try bumping and running with the J wedge
Well, it’s a different font!
Some people just never seen an ‘h’ iron
