Well, you just raised the bar… enjoy the chase.
The worst part is, as you get better, you think the game gets easier. But it doesn’t; it gets way harder.
This is the drug!
Get ready for months in the slump. I had one of those holy moly rounds recently after struggling for months. I’ve made it through three rounds now without a bad shot, but I’m still waiting for that day to come.
Don’t worry, it won’t happen again.
It’s a rollercoaster. I broke 90 the first two times this summer. Now I just left the simulator and feel like my swing is so bad I should never play again.
Don’t ever play a solo two-ball scramble!
I shot 78 the other day (my first time breaking 80) and I’ve been in the mid to high 80s all season with the occasional 95 as well. It only gets worse. Lol.
I shot 38 on the front nine at my club on Friday. Back in 42. I played really well and had a couple of doubles. Tee to green was the best golf I’ve ever played. On Monday evening, I played with friends and just struggled to get close to the pin. Shot a 48. It was an okay round. You’ll have great rounds, average rounds, and okay rounds. The high of a great round is special. You think you’ve broken through, and you may have, but there’s a rough round coming. It happens to the best players. Enjoy the buzz!
I missed a 10-footer the other day to break 100 after three months of playing too.
Don’t think. Just do. And don’t go to the range, just play rounds.
This is how it begins. Playing well a few times is like the dealer giving you a taste, first one’s free.
You need to go out and buy better equipment right away.

What exactly does taking it seriously mean? Inquiring minds want to know…
It means playing as if I want to improve lol. I’d take a lesson from my buddy here and there but never wanted to play on my own unless he asked. Now, I actually want to play a round soon!
230-240 all 18
You might have scored even better if you didn’t sail those par threes by 70 yards.

Par threes were definitely a weakness, and the three I messed up were threes. Lol. Good read!
