Same thing happened to me I was playing with my buddy and two rando lost my shit off a 12 foot birdie putt, and everyone looked at me like I was crazy even my buddy

Got my first hole-in-one when I should have been grounded for throwing a house party. Mom let me go. Gets a call couple hours later letting her know how much I love her. She asks “did you get a hole-in-one.” “Yup.” Then the ass pro bought me a case.

@Pax
I’m a new golfer so forgive me for being ignorant, but what the fuck is the “ass pro”?

Assistant Professional of the course.

Such a good feeling. Every birdie should be celebrated, you have to hit several consecutive great shots. That’s the feeling that keeps us coming back.

Not to take away from how awesome a birdie is, but it doesn’t really mean several consecutive great shots. It can actually mean one exceptional shot and one mediocre/tap-in putt.

For real. I started playing this year and got a birdie on my 3rd round. Went about 18 rounds, then got birdies in back-to-back rounds, and haven’t had one since. I celebrate and do not take them for granted lol.

Looks like you willed it into existence with that marker all over it.

Congrats dude. I got my 1st birdie (chip in) earlier this year & I did a genuine celebration right there beside the green. Yes, I kept the ball.

1st birdie was a par 4? nice

Congrats big dawg.

Congrats on the first Birdie.

Congrats.

I just started golf this year a month ago to be exact had my first birdie my 4th round. I only play 9 hole games right after work but I spent around 20 days every day at the range right before I started playing rounds. I should have kept the ball.

@Adley
You didn’t keep the ball from your first birdie because that’s totally normal. I’m not trying to yuck OP’s yum here but it’s only a birdie…
