Edgebrook (IL) hole #8
I knew this was Edgebrook before I saw your comments. If you shank it left or right, you might hit someone on the 6th or 16th tee box. Did you get the full D-Day experience on holes 1, 2, 17, and 18?
Edit for clarity: the photo is actually hole 5, not 8.
@Raleigh
You’re right, it is hole 5. I played after work and got a full 18 in an hour and 45 minutes. Lol. Nobody else was on the course, so we started messing around with weird shots and club selections. It was a fun time.
This pic just made me buy a rangefinder with a slope function.

Had to hit it more vertically than horizontally.

Now that’s just ridiculous.

That’s too funny, bro.
I have a great memory on this hole. In my first or second year of playing golf, I was with friends when we came up on a group of four. A guy with his wife and kids flipped out when we asked to play through. No reason, he just lost it. Anyway, he let us play through after his rant. I stepped up with a heart rate of 150 BPM and hit it right onto the green with my buddy.
@Micah
Lol, I love it. Well done. It’d be even better if you saw him chunking his shot!
This looks like Edgebrook in Chicago.

I grew up on this course. Can’t say I miss it, lol.
Thought this was Rich Maiden #12.

First time I’ve ever heard anyone mention a course in Berks County here.

Part of the jorts and t-shirt golf trail along with Willow Hollow, Manor, and Chapel Hill.
@Hux
Ah. I’m more of a Golden Oaks and Berkleigh fella.

Agreed. Golden Oaks, Olde Homestead, Broad Run, and Berkleigh for me. Berkleigh is slipping a bit and needs some upkeep.

Whoa, Poor Matron sighting.
I think you’re facing the wrong way.
I hate huge uphills. I really dislike when there’s a hill in the middle of the hole and you can’t see anything but sky.

Get over it. Blind shots are part of the game and have been since it started. This one isn’t even blind. You can see the flag on the right side.
