My previous longest drive was 342 with a bit of wind behind me. This was not a windy day at all and a flat hole from the tee box to the green. Usually end up about 300yds from the tee box but on days where I’m swinging well I can push the ball out a lot further. Caught this one super cleanly and couldn’t find it at first, but we were looking for it 40 yards back of where it ended up.
Personal record! Probably won’t come close to it until next season.

How does one earn a free drop for a currently not found ball…asking for a friend.
Probably playing “gallery rule”. Basically, if you and your playing partners agree it was a good drive that was in play and would have been easily found if there was a gallery of spectators/ball spotter out there, then you take a free drop in the vicinity of where you think the ball should have ended up. Obviously not a real rule and probably shouldn’t be used in rounds you’re counting on your handicap, but I use it a lot in casual rounds, especially during the fall.
Congrats! I love keeping track of my shots and distances but I played during a crazy bout of like 35-40mph gusting winds a few months ago. #10 was a downhill Par 5, with wind directly coming over the huge mound the clubhouse is perched on and directly at my back. My average drives are 277-290ish depending on rollout. But this day? A 423y drive is now stuck in my freaking Garmin and I can’t figure out how to delete it. It made my avg number look nuts lol.

How botched was your 2nd shot after this omnipotent drive?
I left a comment with more details but short version: I landed a wedge pin high and it rolled to the bottom of the green and then I managed to 3 putt for bogey lol.
