I’m a 45-year-old, former high school star with a 20 handicap, and I finally did it. I accepted that I will never play on the PGA Tour.
Champions Tour, here I come

This is my goal. I started really playing when I was 38 with a 17 handicap. Now I’m 46 and a 0.7 handicap. I have a few more things to work on over the next 3 years, then I get to try for the Champions! Let’s go!

Do it.

Definitely going to give it my best. I’ve made major improvements this year. More improvements are within reach
@Zuri
Right on! Hope you get there. I’m over 40 too and like to pretend I’ll make it someday

If you’re a +4, it should be doable
@Zuri
You’re out of your mind
Forget the Champions Tour, I’m actually thinking of getting an MBA or a second bachelor’s so I can cash in on the NIL and have 4 more years of golf eligibility. I’m making bio videos now.

I have some bad news for you about how college eligibility works.
@Micah
No worries, I burned my first degree. No one knows it happened. I’m a first-time student!

I just looked that up. He skipped college and went straight to the NBA.

That’s true. He had to appeal to play. I think if you appeal, you have a better case than an athlete who was so good in high school they went pro.

He never attended college before the NBA.
Right on! Who wants to walk the hills at Augusta with the flat-bellies when you can ride around in a cart at some B-rated resort with grumpy old-timers?
Congratulations. Now go get yourself a new putter to celebrate
When I was about 32 and finally got to scratch, I thought I could shock the world and win the US Open as an amateur. Now I’m 49 and pretty content being a 5.
