Golf Today: Hitting the Course After Work

I am golfing after work today. That is all.

Hurricane went through yesterday (east coast not as bad). 34 mph winds. Course is taking afternoon tee times. Should I golf today?

Of course! Maybe you will get lucky and find a $5 super hot deal like that other guy in this sub! A little rain never hurt anyone, I say do it!

@Dara
Somehow no rain on the forecast, just wind. Maybe it’ll fix my slice :joy:

@Dara
He posted an update that it was all a joke right?

Did not see that until you brought it to my attention. That guy’s buddy got him good, lol.

Nice, man! Nothing beats unwinding on the course after a long day.

I played today as well. East coast South Florida. No tee markers. No flags on the green and no wind/rain checks—cart path only. I know approximately where the tees usually are and just aimed for the middle of the green using GPS on approach. Shot an 83 with one birdie, so not too bad.

I have a 4:20 pm tee time… this is all as well.

Congrats!

Not today, but I’m golfing at 2:40 tomorrow. Taking the afternoon off work to get out before the weather is officially cheeks here in Canada.

What part? I’m from the States, traveling to Calgary, Alberta early next month. Do you know if golf would be possible?

@Nico
I’m from Toronto so we don’t get hit as bad compared to other places. Alberta might be cooked by that time weather-wise and snow rolling around, but I’m no meteorologist so I can’t tell you. I just know Winnipeg, Alberta, and all the like over there get it worse than my province.

@Nico
I once golfed in Calgary in early August and it snowed.

‘If you don’t like the weather in Calgary… just come back tomorrow.’

It’s impossible to predict, but safe to say it’ll be cold. By November, snow is a real risk and the courses may be closed for the year.

I played before work since it’s still too damn hot in Phoenix. Didn’t play well, but it was a new course and the guys I got paired with were nice. Now time to go home, clean up, and try to get some work done.
