This is my favorite thing to do. I love seeing which ball or model is more durable

I’ve noticed the same thing happens with Bridgestone B Rx. Callaway Chrome Soft, ProV1s, and so far, the new Kirklands have not had that issue
Wasn’t that the problem with the V2 Kirklands? I picked up the new version a couple of weeks ago. They still had some of the old version for about $20 though
@Levi
Ah, same here. I usually play with whatever I can find on sale, gifts, or balls I find in the woods while searching for my own. In trying to improve, I’m aiming to eliminate easy variables, so I’m sticking with known brands. The Kirklands are pretty affordable and well-reviewed, so I thought it was worth it. But I haven’t tried them yet since it’s off season
Leave the old one out on the course. Someone will find it. My game isn’t good enough to worry about that crack
I’ve never seen a ball get damaged as quickly as Vice balls. Their average lifespan is about 4 holes, or 2 if you hit it into a greenside bunker

I’ve been using the Pro Plus for the last four years and haven’t had any durability issues. I usually replace balls only when they hit a cart path, end up in bad areas, or I’ve played 36 or more holes
@Keegan
You must leave the iron covers on when you hit them. Just putting them on a tee can scuff them up

I play Pro balls exclusively and unless I hit a tree or cart path, they last 18 holes without any durability problems
@Finlo
I guess my experience and opinion is wrong, and you win. I can’t start every comment with IM0, sometimes that’s implied

I do think you’re making it up, yes

If I can get down to a low single figure with my iron covers still on, maybe I should try taking them off and switching to Pro balls
@Keegan
Or change to different balls and see how good you can really be

I thought it was the iron covers causing issues? I might have to try any ball and still shoot my normal score

I switched from ProV1 to Pro Plus a few seasons ago and haven’t had any durability issues. I’ve used a single ball for over 18 holes multiple times. Personally, I haven’t noticed a difference between the Pro Plus and the ProVs I used to play
@Arden
I can only share what I’ve experienced. And that’s a lot of scuffed Vice balls with smiles on them. I wanted to like them

That’s totally fair if that’s your experience. I just wanted to share my perspective. I consider myself a decent golfer and ball striker and it hasn’t been my experience. Maybe the Pro or Tour balls are less durable, but I’ve had great results with the Pro Plus. They have a bit less spin than a traditional ProV, but still soft enough for good touch around the greens

This post shows the opposite, lmao

I’ve used Vice balls for over 3 years with no quality issues. Some have lasted over 3 rounds

I play Pro Plus and Pro balls and they usually last me over 20 holes until I lose them. How are you managing to break Vice balls, lol

On our Trackman, we break them all the same. Name a ball and it has broken, and if not, I will break it before the new year
