Put me down for a 23.

You’d be surprised how far you can hit a putter off a tee.

Bryson DeChambeau just hit one 282 yards last month.

Back in the late spring of 2009, I was playing golf with another guy at a course in Virginia. We were there for business and we had rental clubs. It was overcast and kinda chilly. The front nine was uneventful. On the 10th tee I said, ‘putter for the rest of the round.’ My playing partner agreed. For the back 9, he was +5 and I was +6. The feeling of blasting a tee shot with a putter was pretty cool and the amount of top spin was amazing.

Come on. You can do way better than 23 with putter only.
I played the last two holes once putter only (got too dark) and hit a 9 & 10.

This got me
Played the long con though, to penalize you 2 strokes every hole for having 15 clubs in the bag. Big brain saboteur.
That’s a solid fella!

He’s a good friend for sure. Would I have done something else with the money? Probably, but I needed a new putter anyway.
Putter off the tee might not be the play unless you’re tryna lay up.
Now you have to give him a OTPHJ; I think would be fair, at least.
Bought a fake one off AliExpress, saved himself hundreds on the bet. Smart guy.
Congrats… happy for you
He lost money to you, then bought you a putter?

I’d imagine he probably owed him the money but maybe knew he was needing a new putter as well, so decided to get him a nice gift instead.
That is a friend. Well, unless he owes you much more.
Either way, keep both around.
Daaaang.
How much did he owe you?
