What’s the best thing you’ve bought at a destination clubhouse like Pebble, Murfield, Teeth of the Dog, etc.? Not talking about that cheap Noodle ball with the logo on it that just sits on your desk. What is something you actually enjoy using or love?
I’m headed to Gullane No.1 in a few days and was thinking about a half zip when this thought popped up.

The best part is that it’s an easy whiskey to get, so you can drink it, buy a standard bottle, and just refill the cool bottle.
It’s a single barrel that the golf course purchased. Woodford Reserve will have a similar taste. It probably won’t be as flavorful since single-barrel barrels are usually of the highest quality.

Woodford barrel picks are not particularly interesting or different from their standard offering. Not like it’s barrel proof or anything.
You sound like you know a lot about bourbon. What would you buy if you had $100 to spend?
@Neo
Jack Single Barrel Barrel Proof expressions are fairly common to find. Those are fantastic. The rye is my favorite, but it’s a little tougher to find.
The oldest Calumet expression you can get for $100 is probably the 12-year.
Driftless Glen is doing some unreal stuff at barrel proof, so anything from them is good.
Redwood Empire barrel strength is under $100 but drinks a lot better than its price.
Barrel Seagrass is great.
Chicken Cock is tasty and at a lower, more accessible proof.
There are lots of directions you can go for $100 or less. All of these are relatively easy to find here in Wisconsin.
