Lately, I’ve been watching a lot of documentaries. Do you have any favorite golf documentaries you’d recommend? I really enjoyed “Full Swing” when it was released. I’m open to anything similar to that style or documentaries about classic golf tournaments or courses. Actually, any topic related to golf would be great. Thanks!
Not everyone likes it, but the YouTube channel No Laying Up has many good videos you might enjoy. They make Tourist Sauce, where they visit different places each season and play famous golf courses there. They also have Strapped, where two guys try to play three rounds of golf in a place for less than $500. They play at local courses that aren’t well-known and meet interesting people during their trips (Max Homa is in the California one).
Here are the top 5 golf documentaries to watch in 2021:
- The Back Nine: Made in 2009, it follows the journey of a novice golfer pursuing his dreams of playing professional golf.
- Uneven Fairways.
- The Short Game.
- Loopers: The Caddie’s Long Walk.
- The Founders.
I think “The Short Game” and “Tiger” are both excellent golf documentaries.
