When do you guys finish the season?

With December coming to a close and temperatures in the 40s here in Northern Virginia, I am trying to squeeze in as much golf as possible before it gets too cold. When do you all typically end your golf season?

In Northern Virginia, the golf season typically runs from April to November. As the weather cools down in December, many courses start to close or reduce their hours. However, some courses might remain open, weather permitting, especially if the temperatures stay mild.

I live in southern NJ, I play all year round. I have even played in the snow.

As the weather cools down, many golfers aim to extend their season as much as possible. In Northern Virginia, where you’re experiencing temperatures in the 40s, it’s common for golfers to play until late fall or early winter. However, the exact end of the golf season can vary based on local climate, course conditions, and personal preferences. Some golfers continue playing year-round, while others take a break during the coldest months. Ultimately, it’s up to you and your comfort level with chilly weather. Enjoy those last rounds before winter sets in!

This is New York. We refer to this golf season from April (if we’re lucky) through October (if we’re lucky). Sad days, indeed.
