I tried out a friend’s rocketballz driver (the 2012 original version) yesterday when I was at the range. I was hitting his driver an additional thirty yards or so, but I still play a R7. It was incredibly enjoyable for me. Please respond to this for those of you who have hit multiple drivers: If you enjoyed the Rocketballz driver, you will truly enjoy ________. The reason it is superior is ________.
I believe that driver heads are all very similar if they are the same size, but getting fit for the appropriate shaft is really vital in your woods, especially the driver.
The RBZ2 is in my bag. Pairing it with a Speeder 757 II shaft really made a significant impact. I have my doubts that any new model could possibly give me more yardage than this “old” driver. I found a great way to build an RBZ driver with a premium shaft for around $200 on ebay.
It’s interesting to hear that a tour pro recently mentioned that driver technology hasn’t significantly improved distance in the past 8 years. Now, it all comes down to the balls.
