What is the method of Dealing with Blisters from Golfing?

Hey Golfers,

I recently started playing more golf, and I’ve developed blisters on my hands. It’s making it uncomfortable to grip the club properly. I’m wondering if anyone here has experienced this and has tips on preventing or treating blisters from golfing? Are there specific gloves or techniques that have worked well for you? Any advice on managing this issue would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help…

As someone who has extensively researched dealing with golf blisters, I’ve learned that the key is to protect the affected area while allowing it to heal. First, cover the blister loosely with a bandage or wrap to prevent further irritation. Cut gauze around the border and attach it to the bandage to relieve pressure and allow for more comfortable gripping of the club. Resist the urge to pop the blister, as the fluid inside protects the raw skin underneath and aids healing. Instead, keep the area clean by washing hands regularly and applying a thin layer of petroleum jelly or antibiotic ointment. While it may be tempting to power through the pain, allowing the blister to heal properly is crucial to avoid infection and get back on the course quickly and comfortably. With proper care and a bit of patience, golf blisters can be managed effectively.
