It’s mildly funny. I’d laugh if I came across it, but I also don’t spend much time looking for a ball. I just call it a loss and drop.

I had the group ahead of me doing that for an entire round once. Eventually, the course Marshall drives by us on the tee box and we tell him what they are doing, and he just laughs. We thought he would at least tell them to stop. It was annoying.
You’ll have to place every single marshmallow in the fairway to try to trick me.

Yeah, I’ve played in a few scrambles where that was a contest on a hole.

This is on the course ranger. It’s a visual example of their absenteeism and not taking their jobs seriously. If they had, they would notice something like that immediately and would know who did it.
