Tiger is one of a kind no one can copy him

Imagine being part of this ad and doing synchronized swings with Tiger. That would be a blast

Here’s something cool. Anything not zoomed in on Tiger’s face wasn’t really him. His stand-in for those ads was my golf instructor. It was great to talk about it. They had the same build and a similar swing. Just like those LA ads with the balls off the roof.

It takes a ton of time to shoot a commercial like that. There’s no way Tiger stays longer than a few hours. He’s way too busy for that.

That is a cool fact. Thanks for sharing

This goes for every commercial or movie you’ve seen. A friend of mine was a stand-in for Vin Diesel in one of the Fast and Furious films. He was on set for hours filming a scene. Vin Diesel only showed up for a little time to get the shots where his face was on screen

What a dream come true

I don’t even know what they’re selling so the marketing misses the mark a bit but I did find it funny.

Yeah, that was so frustrating. I bet there was a good 10 seconds cut that would have tied everything together and made it clear. I’m not mad at the ad, I’m mad at whoever edited it and cut out the really important bits.

@Blaze
Seriously, are you kidding me

My favorite Tiger moment from a commercial was after that one where he juggled the ball and hit it with his wedges. Someone asked him how many takes it was, and he said one. Then he started juggling a ball on a wedge right before hitting it downrange. I can find the commercial but can’t find the other video. I remember watching it and spent a lot of time practicing. The last part where you swing is the toughest, but I had a small accident. I put a hole in a shed door. I hit it way too hard, and it went straight through a wooden shed door about 30 yards away. It must have been funny how surprised I looked. I was so full of confidence, I even asked my dad to watch because I thought I had it down. I never imagined I would hit it so hard, I thought for sure it would go over the shed and into the woods.

Sounds like a classic golf moment

That was like 20 years ago. Edit: maybe closer to 25 years…

I love how when he’s injured, all the other players are finally having fun at tournaments because they think they might win, and then Tiger comes back and it’s over.

No left-handed players mentioned

Once, I was playing golf with my cousins at Shandin Hills. We had two groups of four. When we crossed under the freeway, there was no one on the course. So we all hit our shots on the par 3 at the same time. 15-year-old me thought that was the funniest thing ever.

My score on that day had more pixels than this picture

I really disliked those extra long sleeves back in the day

It would have had more impact if everyone just stopped swinging and started watching him crush drives
