As much as I wanted the Woods team to win, it was an epic showdown right till the end. Even if Charlie had holed the eagle putt, it wouldn’t have been over.
I stopped watching NFL to watch the last 5 holes and I’m grateful to r/golf for letting me know it was on. That hole-in-one was must-watch sports, and I really thought Tiger was going to stick it close in the playoff.
Seeing this from Woods, who ALWAYS plays it cool, was pretty special. As a dad, I get it. But as a hacker, I know I’ll never totally get it.
At one point, Charlie took off his sweater to hit, and his shirt was kind of a mess. The look on Tiger’s face when he was fixing Charlie’s collar makes me wish my old man was still with me.
