Stix Golf Clubs Review – Are They Worth It?

Hi golfers,

I’m in the market for a new set of golf clubs and came across Stix Golf. They seem to offer quality clubs at a reasonable price, but I’m curious about their performance and durability.

Has anyone here used Stix Golf clubs? How do they compare to other brands in terms of quality and playability? Any pros and cons you can share?

Not recommended. For a beginner set, the Costco Callaway set is quite decent at a comparable price.
Getting some decent used clubs is perhaps even better, but more difficult for a newbie to manage.

I received a whole Stix set in spring 2022 and absolutely adore them. Rick Shiels’ YouTube review, which I’ll mention below, persuaded me to make the purchase. However, if you’re just getting started, buying a used set of clubs is usually the best option. I’ve been playing golf for 40 years and consider myself an ordinary player. Before purchasing the Stix set, I always looked for high-quality used clubs.

Check out Rick Shiels’ review of Stix. I have not seen them in person, but I heard about them on a podcast (Golf Smarter) and watched the review. Many comments say that these are bad, but I’m not sure. Stix bases its brand on providing a whole set, clubs, bag, and everything for a middle-of-the-road player who wants more than a starting set but does not want to spend a lot of money on a well-known brand. My guess is that they’re a little more than you’d want for your first set, but if you’ve been playing and can break 100, they could be the ticket.

I have a set of Stix golf clubs. It took a bit of time to get used to the graphite shafts, but now the irons feel really nice. They have strong lofts and feel great when you make contact. The wedges are also working well for me.

My putting improved a lot with the Stix putter, although that might just be a personal preference. I haven’t used the driver much, but in simulations, it consistently outperformed my TS3, which was a pleasant surprise.

However, the black finish wears down very quickly, so if you’re expecting them to stay glossy, these might not be the right clubs for you.

I’m a 22 handicap player. I won’t use these clubs forever, but they’ll be good for a few years until I’m ready for an upgrade. For now, the clubs are definitely not holding me back.

In for one as well. I’ve bought courses from performance golf before and successfully gotten my money back when I felt they were not up to par, so I feel confident they will honor the guarantee here. Skeptical this is the magic bullet as it claims to be, but looking forward to some auditory feedback especially practicing swings at home. Delivery date may 2-4. But, I have to say I was underwhelmed by the video course that accompanied it. Basically just says “make it click.” no real progressive plan.
