I am new to golf this year with roughly 20 rounds under my belt. I broke my wrist last year and had major surgery, but I’ve finally been able to play a lot this year, and the wrist hasn’t bothered me too much. Today, I shot a 97 and damn, it felt good! I know that’s still not great, but I can’t wait to break 90. I’m hoping to get a golf trip together with some buddies later this fall in Las Vegas, and maybe I can achieve that by then.
Breaking 100 is a significant milestone, especially after recovering from such a major injury. It sounds like you’ve made impressive progress in a short amount of time.
A golf trip to Las Vegas sounds like a fantastic idea! There are some great courses there, and playing different courses can really help improve your game.
Plus, golfing with friends always adds an extra layer of fun and motivation. To help you break 90, you might want to focus on a few key areas:
Short Game: Putting and chipping can save you a lot of strokes. Practice your short game as much as possible.
Course Management: Play smart and know when to be aggressive and when to play it safe. Avoiding big mistakes can help you keep your score down.
Consistency: Work on making consistent contact with the ball. It might help to take a few lessons to fine-tune your swing.
Have you already picked out any courses in Vegas? There are some fantastic options like Shadow Creek and TPC Summerlin. Enjoy the trip and good luck breaking 90! Anyone else have tips or course recommendations for Jordan?
That’s awesome! It’s great to hear that your wrist is holding up and that you’re enjoying golf so much. Shooting a 97 after only 20 rounds is impressive, especially considering your injury. Breaking 90 is a fantastic goal, and with your determination, I’m sure you’ll get there soon. A golf trip to Las Vegas sounds like a perfect way to celebrate your progress and keep that motivation going. Keep practicing and having fun out there—your excitement and passion are contagious!
