I also switched to a claw grip for those must-make putts and it really improved my game. I feel like it helps with lag putting too, especially when visualizing how to roll the ball. It was a game changer for me as I work to get back to a single handicap

No, I don’t grip harder. I use a SuperStroke Pistol 1.0 grip which helps me keep contact with my left palm for more stability. My right hand fits snugly in the space between my thumb and index finger. The grip change was a big part of my switch to claw

I had the same issue with the yips and switched to the claw grip. It helps a lot. The right hand and forearm feel more relaxed with the claw than with a standard grip. Highly recommend trying it if you’re having trouble. It might feel awkward at first but it gets better

Putting is tough. That said, I’m often on the fringe which turns a lot of my longer putts into shorter ones

The claw grip is one of the ugliest grips I’ve seen for putting. I hope he makes more putts anyway

It’s not just the grip, it’s the putter. Someone should get him a LAB

I use a reverse armlock claw grip. I align the putter on my right arm, use the claw on my right hand, and then push the grip with my left. It’s working well for me
