My Tee Survived Through Its 7th Full Round - Putting It Into Retirement Now

Hello fellow golfers,

I recently had the privilege of playing a round at Sebonack Golf Club in Southampton, NY—truly the best golf experience of my life. The course was immaculate, the views were stunning, and the whole experience felt like something out of a dream. But something else made that day even more special.

For the last 7 full rounds, I’ve been using the same wood tee. It’s survived every drive, every par 3, every fairway wood—no splinters, no cracks, nothing. I’m not superstitious, but there was something about this tee that just felt… lucky. After finishing my round at Sebonack, I figured it would be all downhill for the tee after such an amazing day, so I decided to retire it.

Anyone else ever had a lucky tee or golf item they’ve retired? Is it crazy to hold onto something like that, or do you all have similar stories?

Try out the Martini tee and have had the same tee for the third straight year playing 70-80 rounds per year.

Frame that bad boy

What on earth is that tee made of? I’ve been using a plastic one forever, and it’s lasted through so many rounds I’ve lost track. But whenever I use a wooden tee, it breaks after just a few holes…

Tee it up high and let it rip. I never break my tees either.

I’ve used the same red martini tee for two seasons almost lol

My tees usually last until the first par 3. My bamboo tees hardly ever break when I’m using a driver, but an iron swing snaps them every time. And yeah, I’m one of those people who tees up on par 3’s, even for 100-yard wedge shots.

I’m the guy who always breaks tees on par threes, so I love courses that have a broken tee bucket by the pins.
