I couldn’t pick whites in the app, but that’s where I played.
Wherever you’re playing, I bet you’d enjoy it more if you moved up a tee box.
Agreed. Seems like the white tees here would already be under 5700, but it’s fun playing around 5000-5200. You can feel like a long hitter with wedges into greens or reaching in two.

Eh, my best here is 53, and that’s fine with me. The tee box is more of a formality. I take my 60-yard OB swing and then four from the fairway on holes with a driver.

Hey, sounds like you are actually counting your score, unlike some who take 15 mulligans per nine.

I don’t mind if people take mulligans and breakfast balls, but I don’t see the point. I’m usually the only one keeping track of my scores.

Bro, you shot 55 over par in nine holes. You should be shooting from 20 yards ahead of the closest tees.

I guess I could, but at some point, I’m not really golfing, or whatever it was I did today.
67 minutes… and this many shots? You should really slow down. You’re not slowing anyone down at that speed; you’re just hurting yourself. It’s fine to struggle, but think about your game. Golf is very mental. Consider the best possible outcome for the next shot. At this pace, you’re just rushing to your ball and hacking away. Good luck.

I appreciate it. I’m not contradicting you, but to clarify, I play by local rules. A lot of these shots are like I hit it OB, take two strokes, and play from where it left the fairway. I might be fast, but I hope I’m not as fast as others think. Sometimes I take another swing like in tournaments, but not always, and I allow myself one more attempt before picking up and moving on.

Take fewer swings and keep the ball in play. There’s no point hitting driver if you’re 250 yards down range and OB. Try playing with just three clubs: your best mid-iron, best wedge, and putter. I guarantee you’ll have a shot at breaking 100 with those clubs and a relaxed swing.
