I attended the 2021 US Open at Torrey Pines. I asked Patrick what club he hit from 175 out, he mouthed ‘pitching wedge’ then laughed when I asked about buying his putter. Overall, my interaction with him was good.
@Kyle
I played with a guy who was nice but cheated a lot. I caught him in the act a few times. No one plays for money with him anymore, but he’s still really nice.
My friend played with Patrick Reed at Augusta State. He said Reed was kind and even paid for lunch. He shot 63 with ease. Overall, my friend is neutral about him.
I doubt this story really happened.

I lost interest when I read about him only signing if he played well.

Do LIV golfers even care about their rounds anymore?
@Marin
Seriously, he probably didn’t hear the kid over the loud music at the green.
@Marin
I assure you it genuinely happened. I was shocked.

If it did happen, why follow him to shout at him? That’s not cool. But I understand if that’s typical at LIV events.
@Marin
You know it, we all care.

I stopped reading at ‘I’m your biggest fan.’ What kind of kid would pick Reed among all others?

And he didn’t mention which LIV tournament.

The putting green hardly has any fans around.

Seriously, how does a 7-9 year old even choose Patrick Reed as their favorite player? This just sounds off.

Thanks.

The twist is that this guy is actually the number one fan.
I once asked Charl Schwartzel for an autograph and he only signed flags, not golf balls. It was disappointing.

He might not be allowed to sign golf balls, but that’s still weak.
@Noah
Many big names won’t sign golf balls because they are hard to get a clean signature on.
