Speed Golf is pretty much like this lol. Just guys running from shot to shot with only 3 clubs.

I’d love to see a PGA speed golf round even if it’s just an exhibition event.

I want to see a side by side with Brian Harman but I’ve only got a 30 minute lunch break.
This is one area where MLB’s pitch clock has really made the game more enjoyable. If you’re a pitcher & you take forever between pitches then you’re going to get penalized. Being able to perform quickly is the essence of sports & pro golfers need to accept that even if it means changing their game.
@Oaklan
Batters, too! Now guys can’t step out of the box, mess with the velcro on both gloves 15x each hand, pick up some dirt and rub between hands, adjust helmet, adjust cup, hold up hand in the box for time while getting dug in, etc. Baseball is my favorite sport but I completely understand why people thought (and somewhat still think it is) unwatchable due to the pace of play.
@Thayer
Nomar Garciaparra would be in shambles trying to play today
@Oaklan
Being able to perform quickly isn’t an essence of sport really recognized outside of America. If you’d have said under pressure and under a time constraint perhaps we’d have agreed, but no one is arguing golf pros need to perform quick. There’s already a lot of measures in place to speed up play, we don’t need clocks on the tee boxes.
@Rin
Just phrasing. They need to perform under a time constraint but the issue is no tour is enforcing that. If you can’t decide on how to hit your shot & your pre-shot routine takes forever then IMO that’s no different than not having a good short game or being wild off the tee with driver; you can’t can’t cut it at Pro golf. That’s a paradigm shift that’s needed not only at the pro levels but also in Collegiate/HS/Jr Golf levels. Start training these kids that it’s unacceptable to take forever before each shot.
@Oaklan
It’s already enforced on the tour. They get warnings and then fines. What you’d like is a far stricter time constraint. No one wants that.

Quite a few professional golfers on the PGA and LPGA have spoken out about pace of play and agree it should be quicker. Guess you would know best though.
@Mackenzie
Well I am somewhat of an expert in lean principles and optimizing organizations for flow and throughput. If you know anything about queuing theory you’ll understand why reducing shot time is very likely going to exacerbate the issue.

You don’t know what any of the words I used mean, do you?

According to many of the faster players like Koepka, DJ, Rory, Scottie, Nelly & Charlie (LPGA) it’s not being enforced & there should be stricter policies.

Plenty of people want that, I personally would find the broadcasts much more enjoyable if pace of play was faster. Multiple players have spoken out against it, just recently Charley Hull said that people should lose their tour cards for it!
Hope he can stay healthy this year and wins a major. So smooth and powerful swing.

I love how he stands so upright and stays balanced throughout. He really takes advantage of his height to generate the power.
