I’m 20 and still haven’t broken 79
You should try swinging a bit faster. A little over 2% might get you to 130.

This guy does the math
Still not breaking 79? More speed is definitely the way to go

Sometimes hitting it a long way is more fun than focusing too much on short game stuff.

Sometimes means all the time.
The trick for every long driver is to wear shorter shorts. It’s true.

Have you tried what Bryson suggests? Play from the reds to break 80, then move back from there?
Start by actually hitting it to the right fairway. We all know that shot was way off course.

I did hit the green (2 putt from 8 feet) but I usually miss by hooking it.

Why do you want to swing faster than 127?

For fun. I don’t get to play much to work on my game, but I love swinging. I just enjoy it at the track man and range when I can.
@Leith
Then why care about shooting in the 70s?

I posted this to challenge the idea that golfers focus only on their swing. There’s so much more to playing well.

I usually swing around 105 and often shoot in the high 70s. Speed isn’t everything, but it does help.

That’s interesting!
