Slow down your backswing. The speed getting to the top is causing inconsistencies.

What’s the best drill for this?

What’s the best drill for this?

  • Hold a club sleeve instead of the club.
  • Perform the backswing and, at the top, throw the sleeve up a few inches.
  • Once it’s back in your hands, start the downswing.

@Hollis
I like that idea.

Nick Price, Jose-Maria Olazabal, Bryson Deschambeau, Raymond Floyd… As long as your downswing is at least twice as fast as the backswing, you’re in tempo. Focus on your finish position, especially the difference between your upper and lower body.

That’s not the real problem. Most pros walk up the fairway by the time casual players hit their ball. People really listen to this bad advice.

Your arms are too far inside on the takeaway. Focus on taking the club straight back and lift your left arm.

Don’t just tee it up and hit. Think about your next move, consider advice, rehearse, and then execute it.

Hold your finish position.

You look tired.

Fair point.

Don’t swing in a hoodie; it’s too constricting.

Very what? :joy:

Check out L to L drills on YouTube. You’re relying too much on body rotation.

He hardly rotates his lower half at all!

  1. Focus on your grip. Get it fixed with a lesson.

  2. Invest in a tour striker smart ball or a cheaper version from Amazon. Best training aid I ever bought; helps a lot in struggling mid-round.

Lessons are on my Christmas list.

Let me know how it goes.

You look a bit like Ed Sheeran, Bill Burr, and Steve Harwell combined. Good form though; just focus more on your posture and hip rotation.

Nice haircut.
