Let the 4 putts commence…

The new putter arrived a day early!

Here’s my initial review: The quality and finish are excellent. I do wish the head was a bit longer from front to back (and she does too), but I’ll adjust (as did she). I’m ordering a new grip since they didn’t have the arm lock style I wanted in stock.

It came with 5g, 10g, 15g, and 20g weights and a handwritten note thanking me for buying their “club.” That was a nice touch. The putter face feels soft when hitting the ball, which I really like. I switched from an older TP Ardmore putter.

It also came with a nice magnetic cover, which I prefer over velcro. So far, I’m happy with it, though that might change once I try it on the green. Can’t wait to miss those 3-foot putts! Still, it’s a nice addition to the bag.

I’m lazy (out of surgery), what’s an arm lock grip?

They have a surgery procedure that increases laziness? I must avoid that. An arm lock grip is a long putter grip that allows you to pin the putter grip along your lead arm. Learn more here.

@Kim
Any post op will increase laziness, what with the pain and the drugs.

Thanks for enlightening me. I’m going to try this!

Why 4? I’d be trying to hit as many as I can.

You’re right, I’m doing myself a disservice with this mindset.

She’s a beaut. Haven’t hit their putters but I love my Sub70 irons!

Do you have their wedges? The price point is hard to pass up.

No, I just got 5i-GW and only back in July, but they’ll be my first choice for all the new clubs I need. Big name brands are outrageously priced these days, and I’m really tall so I need custom builds and Sub70 does that for free.

I play their TAiii wedges and love them. Have the 50, 54, and 60. I think they are doing a sale on them right now too. For what it’s worth, I also play their irons as well and am gonna keep both the irons and wedges around for next season. Don’t have an excuse to change 'em out.

@Riley
I’m considering new wedges this winter and am very intrigued by their offerings. Wish I could test them out against the other wedges I’m considering. I know I can order a demo from them, I might have to try one out.

Was gonna get this exact club myself but the shipping overseas was too much. They look amazing!

If you 4 putted every hole it wouldn’t be Sub 70.

Shit.

Love my Sub70 putter! I’ve had the 004 for about 3 years. Quality stuff for sure.
For those asking about the brand, they’re a direct-to-consumer manufacturer based in Illinois.

Judging by username and branding, you may be affiliated with Sycamore Brewing. Love me some Mountain Candy.

Sub70 is out of Sycamore, IL. I’d guess that’s what the leaves are about.

Wish I was. Never heard of Sycamore Brewing. I do love craft beer though.
