Here’s a tip for you, if that’s your swing after 6 months without advice from others, don’t start asking for tips from others now.

Haha that’s a good point, but I’m not taking any advice from others.
@Tru
Touché!
@Tru
I’m confused. Why would you post your swing then?

Again, I’m getting downvoted - you shared your swing with the internet, then said you aren’t taking tips from anyone.
By the way, your swing isn’t great.

@Jo
It was a joke because the tip was not to get advice from strangers.

I agree. Pretty impressive for six months!
You could keep that head down and your back towards the target a little longer, but great progress for only 6 months.

Yep, you’re right. Definitely things I’m planning to work on next time at the range, thanks for the tip.
@Tru
Keeps your hook turning into a nice draw, keep it up.
Nice swing, but why does it look like you’ve teed it up in a garden? If that’s the tee box, my only tip is to play at a nicer course.

LOL it’s my local course and probably the cheapest around… For a reason I guess.
@Tru
That’s not too bad in a driver hole when it’s dry, but if the tee boxes are all like that, those par 3s are going to be tough.
For just 6 months in, it’s a fantastic swing. For someone with 6 years of experience, that would be a solid swing. What’s your driver miss? I’m guessing big, high, push/cut.
@Florian
Yeah, they’re mostly all pretty beat up/worse than this. It can be hard to find a patch of grass to hit off on par 3s.
@Florian
Yeah, you got it. My biggest miss is just a straight-up slice. I tried a stronger grip for a while, but it felt like a band-aid fix for poor technique. Now I’m trying for a more neutral grip and focusing on a better swing path.
@Tru
It’s hard to tell from that angle, but it looks like you might be a bit flat. My coach told me that if you draw a line up the shaft of the club at address, it should point above your belt buckle. If you’re too flat, you could end up getting a bit inside, and when you’re not rotating through enough, you’ll leave the face open and lose it to the right. It’s small differences, but a 3-degree change with the club path can lead to a 30-40 yards difference.
This is a great swing. Enjoy your time out there.
After your swing, you bring your club down too stiffly. With a swing like that, you should definitely have some club twirls.
