Is this a $25 steal of a lifetime

I’m heading into my second season of golfing and have been scouring Facebook daily for a good deal to upgrade my irons (I’ve been using a starter set so far). This morning, I came across a listing that seemed too good to be true—an iron set for just $25! I was convinced it had to be a scam. But guess what? It wasn’t! The set is missing the 8-iron, but I don’t even mind. I’m over the moon right now and had to share this amazing find…

A little advice for you, don’t keep searching for deals. You might end up with clubs you won’t use.

Nice find

I can’t help but look for deals.

Restore them, shine them up and enjoy playing around with them

@Luca
Same here and that’s how I collected a dozen sets of irons, at least seven of which I’m keeping

That’s why I set limits for myself. Right now I’m eyeing a TM AeroBurner 3HL Stiff.

I’ve got 4 sets of irons and a few putters, and I have to turn off notifications when listings for what I want come up.

@Wren
Just get some friends or family into golf, and you won’t have any spare clubs before you know it, all for free

Personally, I wouldn’t allow that to happen

I’ve bought all the good-condition Hogan blades from old guys at consignment.

I have a set of Directors that I hit once, fell in love with, and now they’re sitting in a bag forever. Might as well put them on a wall.

@Luca
I have lots of friends and family wanting to start golfing so having a bunch of sets would be handy

It’s great when you need them, but since I’ve equipped everyone with clubs I know, it’s getting cluttered now

@Lennox
The rush of buying clubs has faded

Yes, these clubs are amazing. I gave them to my brother when I upgraded but I often think about going back to them.

@Luca
I didn’t get to play with clubs when I was younger. Now as an adult, I enjoy finding old clubs, restoring them, and taking swings.

Even better if the specific club is one a friend has always wanted and I can pass it along.

Wow, that’s so true.

I have 3 complete sets and bits from many more, all from ‘deals I couldn’t resist.’

It pays off when someone visits and wants to play!

I’ve got a habit of buying Mizuno irons on the cheap…

I get that, thanks a lot!

So what’s in your garage that I can buy

What’s bad about any of that?

That’s true, but it’s not cool. I had to stop going on Shopgoodwill.com for that reason.
