Mizuno MP243 iron set, 4-Gap Wedge, equipped with Project X LZ 120g shafts.
You should do what my grandma did with furniture and keep the plastic on them forever

I remember sliding off that couch

Once you go Mizuno, you never go back. Do you think people eventually move on to Miura?

I switched to Scratch SB1 irons. They’re way better than any Mizuno I’ve tried, including the MP33s and MP4s. Nothing feels better than the Scratch SB1s. I’ll stand by that
@Aza
I need to try all of these. My new irons feel… squishy?

You should try the Ben Hogan Ft Worth 15 irons. You won’t regret it. They have an amazing sole grind and reasonable forgiveness for a blade iron. They feel very crisp
@Aza
Cool

I’m just saying Mizuno isn’t the end of the line for feel. Miura is nice, but there are many brands out there making great clubs. You’ve seen some pros switching to brands that work best for them, and it’s a real thing
Got fitted for these irons 3 months ago, and I love them! Enjoy yours

I had been playing the predecessors for 13 seasons, and I never found new ones that felt as good… until now
@Denver
I think the predecessors are usually better. Which ones did you have?

MP63s. They still feel incredible

I’ll never sell my MP60s; they’re a classic. I’ve tried the MP18, 921 tour, 923 forged, 923 hot metal, 243, MX25, MP32, basically every type lmao
@Lake
The only reason I finally switched to a new set is that I wore out the grooves on the 7-PW. They were worn out for about 5 seasons, but I never found a clearly better performing replacement. I’m definitely keeping the 63s just in case
@Denver
My grooves are worn too (not from me), but I’m not skilled enough to notice the difference lmao
The 243s are fantastic. I recently bought hot metals and just hope my ball striking gets good enough to play these or the 245s
Just finished my 5th round with my new 243s. Buddah!
