That’s a wild difference between tees. I don’t know that I’ve ever seen a gap that high. When I see 500 yard gaps I’m surprised.

It’s usually only that big from like tips to back tees in my experience. Also, usually, when the tips are 7000+ yards.
@Wyatt
I think it depends on the course; 700 yards is not nothing, but it depends on where the trouble is. I think moving up tees can often have the same effect, bringing trouble into play that wouldn’t be there if you were playing back. I often will play different tees on the same courses, so one day play the front tees, next round the tips; I’m good enough where it won’t make a difference in pace, just my score. Sometimes I will score better from the tips.

One tee difference isn’t going to make that much of a difference unless there are a lot of forced carries off the tee. Congrats on the PB though, that’s gotta feel good.
Generally speaking, no. However, if that one tee is going back to the tips, it’s really common to see a difference in par-3 distance, tee box placement/angles, yardage to ideal landing areas, and sometimes blind tee shots. You really get to see the full course design from the back tees.
@Jensen
Came to say this, a 180/190 par three that changes to 210/220 can be a deal breaker for some.
