It is similar to a prayer grip and helps level the shoulders. It feels a bit unstable at first, but I am starting to like it. I use a Lab Link putter, which makes it easier to keep the face square, especially with a light grip. Has anyone else experimented with this grip?
The two-thumb grip seems intriguing! It is fantastic that you feel like it balances your shoulders. I am not sure how common the Two Thumb grip is, but you might try looking up “[Two Thumb grip putter]” on social media or in online golf forums to see if anybody else has had similar problems.
I have not personally tried it yet, though the Japanese putting grip seems to be gaining popularity among golfers for its potential benefits in stabilizing the shoulders and keeping the putter face square.
Maybe I should try it soon and experience what other golfers are experiencing.
I tried it and noticed immediate improvement in maintaining the ball along the target line. I find it clunky to set up in, so ive abandoned it for the moment.
When I gave it a try, I could immediately see the ball staying on the intended path. I’ve given up on it for the time being because I find it cumbersome to set up.
Yes, what did I discover? Although it resembles a prayer grip in some ways, it is quite helpful in leveling the shoulder plane. Although it feels a little unsteady at first, I’m beginning to appreciate it, hehe. Since those putters require a light grip, having a lab link putter makes it easier to square the face.
