Not really, no.
A nice nature walk.
Fun course. Always loved playing here when I first started getting back into golf 6 or 7 years ago. It is also my go-to place when I have been struggling, it always seems to get me back on track. The white tees are very scorable which makes for a fun round. Hole 14 the par 5 always gives me fits, when I don’t take my medicine and try and go for the green in 2. Always a water ball.
They have done a lot of great work to it since the new owners took it over and re-branded from Mountain Branch.
Keep grindin!
@Jordan
I couldn’t find the white tee box for 14 so I played it from the blues. Fun hole. The back 9 is prettier than the front 9 but the holes themselves feel repetitive because they’re all long and straight. 14, 18, and 12 were my fave holes. National is fun. I wanna try links @ Gburg if the weather holds out long enough. If not, I’m going to get the college pass beginning of next year and get as many rounds in while I’m at school.
Damn, Gettysburg hasn’t seen a beating like that since 1863. Welcome to the walking club! Next step, pushcart, your back will thank you later.
I play way better walking. As long as you can keep the bag light (no excess bs in the bag and just a few balls), you can run through a course and it’s way nicer having your bag or push cart with you to measure distance and make club selections than walking over from a cart with multiple clubs.
Great call. Walking golf is elite. Cannot be beat.
Walking is the way to go man. I get people can’t do it. I’m all for accessibility, but you really get to enjoy your surroundings. Take it all in and relax between shots.
Welcome to how most of us play in the UK, shit looks great though OP, happy walking.
Excellent exercise. You will probably play better, a much more athletic experience. Walking 18 holes is very extraordinary. I am a member of a 9-hole course and I walk it frequently. Sometimes I may only get 4-6-7 holes in but it’s still great exercise. I had a knee replacement in 2022 and two foot operations in 2018 and 2019 so this type of exercise is very important. Good luck.
The Bag Boy XL push cart is in your future my brother! Walking will definitely make you play more conservatively and take fewer risky shots knowing you have to walk and track them down. Have fun and you’ll break 100 in no time. See you out there
Not only do I have this exact same bag in the monochrome gray/orange, the 2-some I got paired with yesterday also had the exact same ones in Red and Blue lol. Amazing bag, congrats!
Check out a push cart too, I got one on amazon for $100, it’s a 4-wheel by Caddytek and it is great!
Honestly, walking is MUCH faster, unless everyone is a single-digit handicapper.
We walk here 95% of the time.
When I share a cart with my best mate, it’s awful. He’s always in the trees, always on another fairway. We’re always looking for his ball lol. It’s much faster to just walk to your own.
#pushcartmafia
I have that exact bag.
Does using a push cart count?
What app are you using to track your scores?

18Birdies. Gives you a map of the course, distances, and you can keep track of score. You can add friends and whatnot. I like it. Obviously can’t use it for GHIN but it’s good to keep track of progress.
Walking instead of riding is great exercise and helps keep you focused. Gettysburg National is a fun course too!
You should check out my YouTube channel, Dumpy Golf, as I’ve played over 70 courses between MD, PA, DE, and a VA course coming in a few weeks. I played here earlier this year and my last videos are from Whitetail Golf Resort!
I have videos from Greencastle coming soon, too!
Good luck out there
