Turning 29 today and I took the week off work. I’m so excited for today. I just started golfing at the beginning of the summer and I’ve been hooked. My goal today is to shoot under 50. My best so far for 9 holes has been 52. Wish me luck!

That checks out! Played a great round except for two holes where I used the driver. It’s been in timeout since my 2-hybrid goes almost as far and I rarely miss with it.

I stopped 4-5 years ago. Don’t miss it at all. Got tired of taking it off for putting and sweating in it.

I have tough hands from my job too and stopped wearing a glove 6 months ago, only started playing 12 months ago. I wore a glove because everyone does. I started taking it off for putting because everyone does that too. Then thought, if I take it off to putt, why not take it off to chip too ‘for the feels.’ Then I realized, this is stupid—why use one at all? Still don’t know what the benefits are supposed to be.

New gloves have the opposite effect on me. I don’t play with a new glove until I’ve broken it in at the range first.
