Golf shoes with spikes

Hello Does anyone else find it extremely frustrating to shop for new spiked golf shoes? I just scrolled through every page of men’s shoes on Golf Town’s website and 90% were spikeless. As someone who has golfed a ton of rounds in both styles, I find spikeless shoes to be about as useful as smooth-running shoes. Have I just been buying bad spikeless shoes (Nikes around $150), or am I right that spiked shoes are way better? And if that is true, why the hell are spikeless shoes so popular?

I understand your frustration with shopping for spiked golf shoes, especially when most options seem to be spikeless. The preference between spiked and spikeless golf shoes often comes down to personal preference and playing style. Spiked shoes generally provide better traction, especially on wet or hilly terrain, which can enhance stability during swings and walks across the course. Spikeless shoes, on the other hand, are appreciated for their versatility off the course and often for their comfort during casual wear. Quality varies between brands and models, so while you may have had a better experience with spiked shoes in terms of performance, others may find spikeless shoes sufficient depending on the conditions they typically play in. The popularity of spikeless shoes may also be influenced by trends towards lighter, more comfortable footwear that appeals to a broader range of golfers. Ultimately, choosing the right type of golf shoe depends on your individual preferences, playing conditions, and the specific features you prioritize for your game.

Spikeless golf shoes give considerable comfort and grip for effortless movement around the course, but spiked shoes provide outstanding grip and stability. It all comes down to personal preference and the benefits you’re seeking. Consider your comfort demands and budget before making a decision and you’ll be able to hit the green with confidence knowing you’re wearing the ideal shoe for your game.

I found plenty of spiked shoes from various brands on several sites. Honestly, I never thought Nike made great golf shoes, whether they have spikes or not.

I bought a pair of Under Armour Drive Pro Golf Shoes with spikes last year, and they have been the best on all terrains. These shoes deliver exceptional performance thanks to a well-designed new traction system. The upgraded technology and performance features make them very appealing to serious golfers.
