Giving Away Free Arccos Sensors to the First Person Who Wants to Try Them

I’ve finished using my Arccos sensors. I got them free with some club purchases about a year ago, and my free subscription has expired. They are fun to use, but I won’t need them anymore. The data I’ve received isn’t going to change much, so they’re not useful for me now.

Since I didn’t pay for them, I thought someone else might want to try them out without having to buy them. You just need an Arccos subscription and a phone or a watch or a Link.

It includes 14 club sensors, a putter sensor, and the SuperStroke sensor with adapter tools.

Message me if you’re in the US, maybe share a funny golf joke, and cover the shipping (which should be pretty cheap), and I’ll send them your way.

First message gets them!

I don’t want the sensors, but here’s a good joke for you. I heard this one a few years ago and it stuck with me.

Guy goes to confession, says Forgive me father for I have sinned, I cursed and used the Lord’s name in vain

The priest asks, Tell me my son, what happened?

Well, Father, I was out playing a round yesterday with my friends, and stepped up to the 18th tee and was on pace for my best round ever. All I needed was to par this last hole to beat my best score!

I teed up, and shanked that tee shot right into the woods. I thought I lost the ball, it was just bad…

Oh dear, my son, is that when…

Oh Father, you won’t believe it! I found my ball, I had a five-foot opening through the trees to the green. Hit the best hybrid I’ve hit all year, right on line!

Then it came up just short, landing in the toughest sand trap on the course. Short sided, too!

Oh no, my son, so that’s when…

Father, I pulled out my sand wedge and hit the prettiest sand shot you’ve ever seen. One hop and stop, barely missed going in, and stopped just a foot from the hole.

Oh, Jesus Christ, you didn’t miss the putt, did you son??

@Mal
I think what’s supposed to be said is, ‘miss the goddamn putt’

You can get free sensors and a free trial of the software just by paying for $12.99 shipping if you’re in Canada. link I’m not sure if the same deal is going on for the US.

@Blair
It used to be the same in the US, but I couldn’t find that deal anywhere now. I got the free sensors and trial a couple of years ago.

I made a few different email addresses and got four sets of sensors. Now I don’t need to buy any for years.

@Blair
They still have deals, but it’s only 45 days now.

For anyone upset they missed this offer, it’s pretty simple to get a free set of sensors. Almost all the major brands have deals where you can get a free set, but they don’t really verify if you actually purchased something.

@Addison
I got mine in the fall, but I didn’t even have to pretend to buy something. They offered a free set with a 90-day trial.

I don’t want one, but here’s a joke:

I brought an extra pair of socks.

Why? In case I get a hole in one

I always bring a fresh pair of socks for after the round. Still hunting for that hole in one though…

They’re gone! Thanks for participating!

So you didn’t like them huh? I tried them too. The putting and the app counting strokes incorrectly was the worst part. I spent so much time fixing issues on the app during my rounds, it took away from the enjoyment of golf. No way I’m paying $150 a year for that.

They’re definitely worth a try though. Your mileage may vary.

Maybe I should make a post and give mine away too. lol.

@Reilly
This was my experience too. I spent more time correcting shots on the app than enjoying my game.

@Carmine
I found they worked best when I had the Link on my belt. The watch and phone were sometimes less accurate.

Unfortunately, I lost the Link on the course, otherwise, it would have been included. I’d be giving them up anyway for the reasons I mentioned.

In any case, a few folks asked if they’re worth it. I’d say yes, simply because I had ‘real world’ data as opposed to range or simulator numbers. Compiled over many rounds, the data showed what I could expect from a club in real situations, averaged from different types of lies and shots. I found that helpful, as I wasn’t relying on my optimistic practice distance on the course. Arccos provided clarity on that.

@Carmine
I liked that my Apple Watch could track distances. I hate having my phone in my pocket while I play.

@Reilly
I thought they were decent. A year’s worth of data was useful to me. It helped me understand my distances that I don’t see changing significantly in important ways over time.

Also, I have other ways to track shots and I don’t need them. They are nice, but ultimately I have other subscriptions, and I want to keep those to a minimum.

@Reilly
I spent the money on the link sensor and it fixed about 95% of the stroke count issues.

What’s the link sensor?
