I have been golfing for six months now. Just received my official handicap of 52. And I need some smart comments from r/golf.
On the driving range, 8/10 strokes are successful: decent distance, very straightforward, no topping. On the course, however, something pops into my thoughts, and it is the opposite way around. Two out of ten fly well; the others top, slice, or divot well in front of the ball.
I am sure I am not the only one. How do I deal with this? What is the aggregate best advice?
Transitioning from a golf course (range) to real grass is challenging due to differences in terrain, ball behavior, and accuracy. Practicing on grass requires adjustments in technique and adaptation to variable conditions.
