Photos from Presidio Golf Course, Sharp Park and TPC Harding Park this weekend. I suck so much ass but I love this sport and the beauty we’re surrounded by while we’re playing it.
I see your post after spending the past hour shoveling snow. Three putt for the rest of us, my friend

I had some four putts for fun today! I grew up in Buffalo and moved to California about eight years ago. Shoveling that heavy snow will definitely add some distance to your drives for sure
@Foster
I just spent three hours shoveling and I’m not happy. I really miss the sun.
@Foster
So you played in SF today to avoid a Super Bowl without the Bills

I’ve probably shoveled about 20 hours in the last six days so I feel your three putt with a duck hook off the tee
Presidio is one of my favorite golf courses. I can’t wait to visit San Francisco and play it again. It was such a magical spot. Harding is way overrated, in my opinion.

Harding is great at the resident twilight rate, the conditions are really nice. At the full non-resident peak price, there’s no way I’d play there. Presidio all the way.
@Foster
I just found Harding boring, nothing special. Presidio, with all the trees, is spectacular. It’s exactly what I love in a golf course—great conditions and a feeling that the hole you’re on is the only one that matters.
@Cai
The last holes at Harding are pretty nice. But yeah, overall, it can feel boring compared to Presidio and the other local options. Presidio just feels more unique with interesting holes that can blow up your score if you’re not careful. I also miss living close to it. I haven’t lived in SF for almost 12 years now.
@Foster
The greens at Harding are terrible, in my opinion. I enjoy the views but it’s definitely not worth the non-resident rate. Presidio wins 10 out of 10 times.

Harding is a more technical course from the tips, but Presidio is better in every other way, unless it’s rained a lot.

I think Presidio is very underrated in the Bay Area at least among my friends. It has great classic design using the natural landscape. The recent bunker renovations made a great signature look. For $100 on weekends for Bay Area residents, it’s hard to find a better course. I think it’s more interesting than Harding, has better conditions and layout than Corica or any municipal course in the East Bay, and it feels more open and fair than low to mid tiero country clubs in the area. I really wish I lived closer and could play it more often.
Now they just need to give some love to Lincoln so it’s not so swampy on half the holes.
@Ashton
The layout at Oakhurst is not great. Boundary is the most interesting public course layout in the East Bay, in my opinion.
@Ashton
The greens at Corica and Metro in the East Bay are way better than what’s at Presidio. But other than that, I agree with your points.
Having lived in SF, I can tell you that’s not true. Fog and wind are what dominate this area. Days like this are rare, but they’re a dream.
I played Presidio this weekend while on a work trip. It was a gorgeous course with great weather after all the rain last week.
They are lying haha. This area is nice but it’s funny how this post makes things seem better than they are. I used to work at Presidio Golf Course, so I’m not just saying this.
I used to play at Sharp Park and Harding (before it was TPC Harding) a lot. I love those courses. I really miss them. Thanks for sharing the photos.
I played Presidio today. It’s the best public course in the city when you think about value, layout, and maintenance.
