After years of using old and second-hand clubs, I finally bought my first brand-new set, the Cobra Fly XL. Next, I’ll be joining a club and getting a handicap.
Don’t let anyone bring you down, this is exciting

I’d take the plastic off, but other than that, get ready for anger, disappointment, and financial stress
What a sport we play
You’re going to love them! I’ve had mine for a little over 6 months and they’ve been amazing
Invest in a nice push cart and you’ll be all set

Great starter set. I loved mine and thought I would stick with Cobra forever
Thought? What clubs are you playing with now? This post has me curious
@Zyler
I recently got T200s too. They’re fantastic clubs, but when you hit the sweet spot just right, the ball flies off the club face, and it feels incredible. Plus, I hit it 10 yards further than I expect, which is funny
Nice! If you’re new to golf, invest in lessons. That’s the most important thing. Skip the fancy shirts, expensive rounds, and top-quality golf balls. Just get lessons

Instructions were unclear. I started with a starter set and bought a new Driver, Irons, and Putter before taking lessons. Now I just look good while playing badly
Had the same set for a while, great clubs!
Congratulations! Great times are ahead, it’s only going to get better from here
I’ve been playing for 30 years and I’ve never had a new set of clubs
Not bad, that’s way better than my first set of founder’s clubs
My first set was the Cobra King VT which is basically this but in youth size. The funny thing is, I was a 6’3 adult when I bought them and had no idea they were youth size. I’m sure the salespeople at the store had a good laugh after I left. They were great clubs to start with though. I still use the 3 wood and sand wedge
Nice, this is always exciting. When are you going to take them out?
I had this same set a few years back. It’s a solid set of clubs and they’re very forgiving. I sold them to a friend who was just starting out in golf and he loves them! Good choice!!
Congrats! Enjoy the new clubs, and prepare for the financial craziness of this hobby
Solid set. Enjoy using them
My first set after taking a break for 35 years. Loved the irons, they were the last to go. Hybrids and fairway woods are great. The driver is okay, but after a while, you might want to upgrade to a new 2-3 year old model (like an Airojet) for a couple hundred bucks and you’ll be very happy for a few years. I got used to the putter and still have it in my bag.
