Do Amateurs Get Paid At The Masters?

I was watching The Masters this weekend and got really curious about something. I know it’s one of the biggest and most prestigious golf tournaments in the world, and I noticed that there are quite a few amateur golfers who get to play alongside the pros. Does anyone know if these amateurs get paid for participating? How does the whole payment structure work for them, if they get anything at all? Just wondering because it seems like such an incredible experience for them, but I’m curious about the financial side of things.

Amateurs who play in The Masters do not receive any payment for participating. The tournament is an invitation-only event, and amateurs compete as part of the field but don’t earn prize money.

Amateurs at The Masters don’t get paid. They play for the experience and prestige.

No, amateurs do not get paid at The Masters. However, they receive other benefits such as invitations to prestigious events, trophies, and recognition. Their primary goal is to gain experience and potentially turn professional later.

It’s a completely archaic and idiotic rule.
