England’s Charley Hull heads into the final round of the Women’s World Championship in Singapore just one shot behind the leader, despite battling illness.
The 28-year-old, seeking her first LPGA Tour win since 2022, delivered a bogey-free four-under 68 in the third round at Sentosa Golf Club, bringing her total to nine under par. Her preparations were disrupted by an overnight bug, but she remained steady with two birdies on the front nine and two more on the 10th and 13th holes to stay in contention with leader Lydia Ko.
“I woke up this morning and threw up. It was just a little bit of a bug, but I’m fine,” Hull said. She will tee off in the final pairing alongside New Zealand’s Olympic champion Ko.
Thailand’s Atthaya ‘Jeeno’ Thitikul surged into third place at seven under after posting the day’s lowest round of 66, while South Korea’s Kim A-lim, the halfway leader, dropped to a tie for fourth at six under with Australia’s Minjee Lee and Thailand’s Pajaree Anannarukarn.
