Kapalua Plantation course.
No 11/10… I was there last week and had an amazing time. The views are to die for!

Feels like you’re playing golf on a screensaver.
Looking to play this course when I visit in January. Does anyone think I’d have trouble getting a tee as a solo? Not inclined to book ahead of time due to weather.

Nope. As long as you have $495, you can get a tee time. I just played as a single in August and it was wide open. Also, there is no weather. It’s either 78, sunny and windy or 88, sunny, and windy in the summer.

Probably wide open. The place costs about $450 a round and was empty both times I was lucky enough to play it.

Just make sure it’s not closed because of the Sentry.
Lots of fun tee shots there.
Mahalo!
How did the grainy chips treat you?
Kaaaaapaaaluaaaa!
Because I love golf so much, I am easy to please and generally enjoy the majority of courses I play. But Kapalua is simply excellent in every way. It is beautiful, difficult, but fun. I thought the facilities and staff were amazing. Hell, even the drive to the course is great. 12/10 would play every day.
17 tee has as good a view as any golf course.
10 IIRC was a par 4 - about 315 from my tees. Dead into the wind and up a steep hill.
Driver/3 iron.
17 Par 4 downhill 462. 3 wood 290 to just before the trouble. 9 iron for a second.
18 Par 5 downwind downhill 599.
Driver 3 wood just right and short.
Amazing course. Pretty wide open and playable for amateurs.
Did you find the slope off the tee on 18? By far the longest drive I’ve ever hit, by at least 40 yards.
I went to the Tournament of Champions there a few years back! Such an awesome course.
Looks amazing.
Played the Bay Course in 2022 because the Plantation was aerated the day I landed.
The Bay was spectacular.
I look forward to playing the Plantation the next time I get out there.
My favorite part on 18 is the yardage marker that says ‘don’t even think about it.’ That was over 20 years ago. I wonder if it’s still there.
It’s awesome and has some of the best views anywhere.
