Black Friday 2024 - Callaway Pre-Owned

Pre-Owned sales rep here! I wanted to let everyone know that I can provide the Black Friday discount this entire month. No need to wait if you’re interested in placing an order. The sale will offer 25% off your order with a few exceptions. Email or call me to set up an order! If you need my work contact information, just message me and I’ll get it to you.

Thanks, Tabascopro. I’m wondering how shipping to Canada works, and what feedback you usually hear about duty charges from your customers?

Duties occur at the border, and unfortunately, we don’t receive notifications about the final charges. It seems to vary by destination and order total. Just to inform international customers, we’re currently moving our warehouse, which has paused international shipping until it’s completed. I estimate we might resume shipping out of the country early next year.

@Skyler
Glad I asked, thanks for the info. I’d love to see a system set up where you can prepay the duties; some websites provide that and it’s wonderful (I think it’s called Borderfree).

Interesting idea, I will pass that along.

You could consider a reshipping service like Stackry too.

@Asher
thanks for the info. I’d rather not have an extra step, but I’ve heard good things about those companies.

I feel you completely. If you can, I would recommend waiting to ship to Canada. There are frequent enough sales, and if you’re near an airport, self-declaring could help reduce duty costs.

@Skyler
That’s unfortunate. I’m based in the UK. I’ll see what else comes up closer to the date. Thanks for the update.

@Skyler
Just ensure you ship USPS instead of FedEx or UPS to Canada; you’ll win with the shipping costs since the latter two are terrible.

I’m in Canada and I ordered earlier this summer, having it shipped to my mom’s place so my wife wouldn’t see new golf clubs. The UPS tracking said I could pay duties and taxes online using a credit card, which may not even reflect the correct amount, so I decided not to do that. I told my mom to handle it upon delivery, and she’d get the cash back from me. But, the UPS guy wouldn’t accept cash and told me his machine was broken, thus insisting I pay online. However, once the package was delivered, UPS wouldn’t let me pay online anymore. After enduring long hold times when I called, I waited for a threatening letter, found my checkbook, and ended up sending a check after accruing interest! In the end, I paid a dollar over what they requested, and went on with my life while trying to hit the ball well with my new clubs!

@Hayden
UPS is terrible for brokerage fees; do everything possible to avoid UPS when shipping to Canada.

I ordered from Pre-Owned back in August to Vancouver, and the duty was $60 CAD via UPS. Nonetheless, I still saved a lot on the clubs compared to shopping locally.

@Lin
Thanks! Great to hear some updated numbers. What was the approximate value of your order?

It was around $400 CAD.

It’s not worth it; Golf Town demo days are much better for us.

@Peyton
The selection at demo days is limited, and there are no condition ratings. Callaway Pre-Owned is by far the best place for used wedges that I’ve found.

I agree; I don’t usually see great deals, but maybe CPO being in USD clouds my judgment.

Is the discount 25% total or an additional 25% on top of the 20% already on the site?

It’s 25% off total.
